The highest quality LED drivers with the best 0.1% Flicker-Free Dimming in the industry
San Jose, CA – Xicato, the leading provider of smart building Bluetooth wireless controls and highest quality light sources, today announced a major expansion of its family of Smart Drivers for customers that want the most compact, reliable and efficient Luminaires with the best dimming quality in the industry. Building on the success of the Xicato Integrated Module (XIM), Intelligent Driver (XID), and Miniature Driver (XMD), Xicato is enabling new, sleek, compact, 1- and 2-channel designs that enable and accelerate the market adoption of DC distribution in building infrastructure. In addition to reducing energy conversion losses, these drivers enable flexibility in the placement and minimal use of AC-DC power conversion stages, thereby reducing overall cost of equipment and maintenance. All Xicato drivers feature deep, smooth, monotonic dimming to 0.1%, with fade-on and fade-off and, fully comply with and exceed IEEE 1789 compliant flicker standards that ensure occupant health and comfort.
“The importance of 0.1% dimming in architectural projects is critical. Having a full range of flicker free solutions provides users a variable environment without concern. Drivers with less dimming range simply do not provide the function the space requires” said David Ghatan, President IALD, CLD, MIES. “The difference between 1% and 0.1% is huge. It is in that range that you can find the magic of the design.”
The Xicato DC drivers feature extremely compact form factors with options at 46mm round and rectangular models as slim as 13mm wide by 90mm long. These models enable the slimmest linear fixtures, the most inconspicuous cove lighting, the tiniest troffers, and the most compact tracks and spots, all without sacrificing power or performance. PCBA models can be hidden in existing and emerging micro-format track adapters, such as standard Stucchi® track adapters, in order to minimize visual impact.

All the new drivers are part of Xicato Onboard, a series of embeddable products by which any 3rd party luminaire or device can be upgraded to be wirelessly controlled and monitored via Bluetooth mesh and operate seamlessly with Xicato’s award winning Controls Platform.
